Needs vs. Wants
If you began the K-W-L chart on Monday, now would be a good time to fill our the L section of the chart.
Use the video below to review needs and wants. At the end of the video, students will be shown images and asked to identify if they are needs or wants.

Kahoot Assessment
Kahoot is a great web tool where students can use smart phones or iPads to take an Interactive quiz. Because it has a game show type feel to it, the students really enjoy taking the quizzes on Kahoot. It also has a feature that allows you to download the students' data once they complete the quiz. This data can be very helpful in analyzing who need more help and who understands the concept being quizzed.
Opening the above link will give you access to the code that your students will need to access the quiz on their devices. They will need to go to Kahoot.it and enter the code shown. Then, they will enter their name so that their scores are calculated and you can keep track of their data. Once everyone has joined the quiz, you may begin. Due to a limited number of devices in our classroom, I have the students complete the Kahoot quiz during our small group time. By the end of the small group time, each child will have had an opportunity to take the quiz.
